Michael Rossi

As Lender Relations Specialist, Mike serves as the primary SBA point of contact for questions regarding eligibility, standard operating procedures, training and general lender relations. Mike is also responsible for assisting Delaware's small businesses with export related financing and services and serves as the chair person on a team with various State and Local agencies to facilitate and increase export related activity and is the liaison to assist with the administration of the STEP grant.
Mike joined the SBA 11 years ago with more than 14 years of commercial banking experience. Prior to joining the SBA, he was a commercial banker with Merrill Lynch where he led a team of commercial bankers covering the Midwest and western territories of the country. He is skilled in such areas as corporate cash management, lending, liquidity management, and merger and acquisition strategies. Mike began his banking career at First Union/Wachovia where he served as a Senior Financial Specialist specializing in small business banking, in addition to retail banking, investments, and mortgage services and served as the lead mentor in the Camden and Burlington county New Jersey markets. 
Mike is a twice graduate of Temple University holding both a B.S. (1992) and an M.ED (1996) in Sports Marketing and Business Management. He is married to his lovely wife Diana for 16 years and has one son, Anthony, who recently turned 12. Diana is a high school Art and Photography teacher in Delaware as well as Drexel University. Anthony is an honor student in addition to playing competitive and travel baseball and participates in his school's jazz band as a trumpet player.
