Michael Kraten

Michael Kraten, PhD, CPA is an Associate Professor of Accountancy at Providence College in Rhode Island. Dr. Kraten teaches the graduate capstone course in accounting there, and has also taught sustainability, ethics, leadership, financial reporting, and management accounting.
Dr. Kraten has authored articles in the academic and practitioner literature, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, Accounting and the Public Interest, CPA Journal, International Journal of Accounting, Research in Accounting Regulation, and Journal of Financial Planning.
Dr. Kraten has earned a Ph.D. in behavioral accounting from the University of Connecticut. He has also earned an M.P.P.M. in public and private management from Yale University, and a B.B.A. in public accounting from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
